Lance Corporal Harry Fisher of Courtland was born February 27, 1893 to Alfred and Mary Fisher. Harry was married when he enlisted in the 168^th Battalion out of Tillsonburg and was later transferred to the 2^nd Battalion. He died on August 30, 1918 age 25, at the Battle of Arras. He has no known grave. His name is engraved on the Great Canadian Memorial at Vimy Ridge.
