Flight Officer Cecil Franklin

Flight Officer Cecil Franklin was a pilot in the Royal Naval Air Service. He was born in March 1894 to Frank Clarence Franklin and Sarah M. Pitman of Clear Creek, Houghton. He was the first Norfolk man to fly in the Navy. Cecil was killed in England March 20 1918 in a flying accident. He is buried in the Cranwell St. Andrew Churchyard, Lincolnshire, England.
